THE PRACTICE

Thank you for visiting this practice. You are encouraged to maintain a relationship with the doctor of your choice who, with due notice, will usually be able to give you an appointment. Should the need for consultation be urgent, and your usual doctor unavailable, another can attend your needs until your doctor is available.

We are not owned or managed by a “corporate” but personally run all aspects of the practice.


TEACHING PRACTICE

As a recognised teaching practice we occasionally have a senior medical student with us. You will be told beforehand if this is the case. Please notify the recep-tion staff if this is not convenient. It will NOT offend.


PATIENT FEEDBACK

From time to time this practice invites patients to complete a questionnaire on their views of the prac-tice. These surveys are completely confidential and help us improve our services.
If you are unhappy about any aspect of care, we are keen to know about it. Please feel free to talk to your doctor or the receptionist about any problems you have with the service we provide.


PERSONAL HEALTH INFORMATION

Your medical records (electronic or paper) are confidential documents. All Personal Health Information we may acquire is kept strictly confidential. We follow the principles in the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 of the Privacy Act 1988.

TEST RESULTS

Dr Sovann would like to inform his patients that he will contact them accordingly in the event that test results deem this necessary. Should a patient need to call Dr Sovann to discuss results, he is able to take telephone calls between 1-2pm. If this is not possible, Dr Sovann will endeavour to return calls as soon as possible.
